Standing desks have a positive influence on overall well-being; in one study 87% of participants felt more energized, 71% felt more focused, 66% felt more productive, and 62% felt happier than those who remained seated the entire work day.
Those who sit the most are at a 49% greater risk of dying early than those who sit the least according to a review of 18 studies. It is so harmful that even an hour of intense exercise may not make up for the negative effects of an entire day spent sitting.

In 2014 we decided to create the best adjustable sit to stand desks, at an affordable price.
Having spent 10 hours a day for 11 years sitting at a desk, my back was ruined. And despite maintaining a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise, my mobility got worse and back pain plagued me. I started to take calls standing at my desk just to feel less pain, and used any excuse I could to move around the office (lots of time wasted with tea breaks!)
Every morning my back hurt, and I spent a small fortune upgrading my bed without thought to how I was working all day. When a physio insisted I sit less, I began researching standing work solutions.
I was amazed at how much research found long-term health risks from sitting. This research is continuing right now, in the US, Europe and here in the UK, such as the Leicester Diabetes Centre – a partnership between the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and the University of Leicester.
The problem was that many of the standing desks were too expensive, and hard to come by, so we set out create our own – one thats beautiful, affordable, rich in features and here in the UK.
